Effects of heat on tyres
While the temperature is rising, the air pressure in the tyres increases as well. it causes over-inflation in the tyres and the result is blow out or excessive wear and tear.
Excessive heat is the most common reason for dry-rot or sidewall cracking. Due to rising temperature and UV rays of sunlight, the oils of the rubber compound starts to evaporate. Therefore, the sidewall of the tyre cracks inviting blowouts.

The rubber material is resistant to heat buildup but in extreme conditions, the rubber cannot hold excessive heat and the sidewall is cracked as we have mentioned above.
Hot Molecules:
A quantity of compressed air is present in the body of tyres. Due to hot weather, the molecules of the tyre’s air-filled body are heated and start to vibrate and expand.
How to know the tyre is overheated?
You can feel the heat by touching the tyre easily. To be sure, you can check the air pressure in the tyre. If you find out that the tyre is over-inflated, you can presume that the tyre is overheated.
How to prevent overheating in the tyres?
Actually, in hot places, overheating in tyres is a normal phenomenon and you have limited options to deal with this issue.
However, while you are driving in the blistering summer, make sure that your tyres are properly inflated.
Before you start the car, check the air pressure and check the pressure every two hours.
.Stop the car and wait until your tyres cool down while you find your tyres are overheating. To prevent sidewall cracking, treating them with a wax-based product may reduce the bad effects.
High speed also increases the chances of overheating. Therefore, limit your speed while you drive your car.
When you find out your tyres are damaged severely, you need to change your tyres immediately. Since travelling with damaged tyres is extremely hazardous.
